Jayne: Captain, can you stop her from bein' cheerful, please? Mal: I don't believe there is a power in the 'verse that can stop Kaylee from being cheerful. Sometimes you just wanna duct tape her mouth and dump her in the hold for a month.

Art Crawl!!!

I taped er but I've realized that I have no interest in watching it.

And I did watch Big Shots and hope to never do that again.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Does Mac understand you were a kid? Does he wonder why you don't have those rules?

yeah, that's how the convo started. He was acting upset about not living with me forever and I said "I don't live with Grandma and Grandad anymore and that is ok, right?"

And the question about them coming into kid space and cramping us?...

is puzzeled as I stare at the lego castle in my livingroom floor and the bike in the dining room. HE comes where ever I am, except for my weekend sleeping in and to the bathroom when I shower - that is where the disconnect is for him needing this adjustment time to my presence.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

You know what's good for a laugh? Google 2012 planet x. It's fun! Go on, I dare ya!

Anyway, this planet x is supposed to loop through the inner solar system in 2012 and cause all sorts of natural disasters and earthquakes and what-not. I spent some time trying to figure out how they came up with 2012, but the signal-to-noise ratio in my Googling was just too damn low. Finally I gave up, as the stupid - it burns!

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Also, Jesse lives in Queens, and is in Manhattan on the weekends. Which tends to make it harder. I only see Manhattan celebs near brunch, I think.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Huh. They have two 2-minute recaps up for the er premiere. One that mostly deals with Neela and one that covers everything else.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

then you got Big Shots, which I turned off after 15 minutes.

Ugh. Okay, I won't even try.

Ahah. I completely failed to understand. But I also never wanted to be in the same room as my parent unless they were doing something (for which they probably needed me gone) interesting, like cutting a pattern.

He was acting upset about not living with me forever

Cute, like in general, but when you're talking about an adoptee from another continent? Mega cute.

Tommy, I think that google did hurt.

Wasn't the doomsday date on X-Files Dec 22, 2012?

So you probably didn't figure out 'Why 2012' either, did you?

Huh. I was gonna say I didn't realize it went back that far. But then I remembered - 2012 is when the Mayan calendar "runs out" so some argue the Mayans thought the world would end then.

eta: And I'm gonna guess that Dec 22, 2012 is Winter Solstice....

I dunno. I just remember because it's my nephew's birthday.
