Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Grey's felt like it was written in a foreign language. I didn't get anyone's emotions at all.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Love the Snake Charmer rep! That's awesome.

I still call those extendable grabby things Snake Grabbers (I can't even think of the real name) from when I worked for a State Park and that's what they were for, moving rattlers out of areas that were full of humans. I only did it once, but I'm still proud of it.

guess we also used them to get the spare light bulbs out of the back of cupboards. But it was still "Hand me the snake grabber so I can reach these light bulbs".

Now tagless for your comfort.

Moonlight didn't seem all that bad. Derivative, sure. But full of pretty people and not specially awful.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The Mets are down 7-4 in the 6th. The Mets are well on their way to the second worst collapse in baseball history.

Aye, caramba. And the Phils are winning. Susan's M's are on that collapse list - I remember when the A's caught them. Lordy that was exciting.

Well. I got some sad news. My neighbor, Dr. Christine Johnson, passed away Tuesday night. I had seen her family moving stuff out over the past month, but just figured she was moving, and would stop by before she left for good. I told her son earlier to pass on my good wishes to her. He didn't mention she was in the hospital. Cancer killed her.

She was the one who drove me to the rental place on a Saturday when I thought I'd blown my clutch this winter. The passenger seatbelt didn't work because her niece had fed it a quarter. She invited me to her church. I gave her some good chocolate in thanks and she told me I shouldn't have. Before that, one day I ran into her in the parking lot after a particularly shitty day and mentioned I was glad the day was over. 15 minutes later, she was at my door with a plate of food.

She was a recently retired high school principal, still actively involved in education. I enjoyed talking to her, wish I knew her better. She was a good person and a great neighbor. I wish only I'd had another chance to tell her that.

WORD. And damn. I utterly and totally miss Burke. There were also too many new people that seemed to serve no purpose.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm sorry, sara. If it's any consolation, I'm sure she knew how you felt.

Thanks, but don't feel bad for me, I barely knew her, but am glad I did. Send anything you got to her family.

It doesn't seem real. I've done this before. I still don't irrationally believe Lorraine is dead, but she died when I was 16. I still expect to see her. I wouldn't be surprised to see her. Nor Christine. Ridiculously, I need to see the body when it isn't...age or something. I saw 3 of my grandparents. The fourth, I knew it would happen. But all the others? The lizardbrain still thinks they'll appear.
