It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

In two words and two words alone describe how you feel today. Go.

FUCK THIS.

Shrift wins.

paperdol, I think that, when it comes to inconveniencing oneself to care for a relative/friend/neighbor, taking vacation time to care for a neighbor falls in the category of Above And Beyond the Call of Duty.

Epecially when (I totally agree with you) the person should be in the hospital, at least for a few initial days. Getting the antibiotic intravenously can really jump-start the recovery.

Librarian Warlord

Clarence Thomas is promoting his book. He's also supposed to be on 60 Minutes (or he already has been). I'd be interested to see if he does the interviews with a piece of candy in his mouth. He's constantly eating it in court.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Isn't that what club kids do? Or ravers? Or something?

My drug references are weak... he's tweaking perhapse? On... X maybe?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Kat, feel free to avoid this question, but does this article capture the NICU experience?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have two more words: still dizzy. Which, WTF. My inner ears are all fucked up, but not badly enough to do anything about it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have another two:

Not migrainey (which is why I was attempting zen--to keep it that way).

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have no idea why this is bothering me so much.

paperdol, I've had to draw those same lines with actual blood-related family members. Sometimes, you do it. It doesn't feel good but you have to.

It doesn't make you an asshole. It makes you a human being with finite physical, emotional and financial resources to spread around. Please to not be so hard on yourself for having the sense to know your limits.

My headache came knocking after the first cup of coffee this morning and hit full bore in the Sam's Club parking lot where I barfed loading the car. Then in the drive through at McDonald's picking up the kids chicken nuggets for dinner. What should I take after a couple of Excedrin? Maybe an ice pack on my neck?
