I'm still mourning the loss of my $125 pair of Serengetis. But I had them for 8 years so they had a good run. I'm in a $14 pair of Target sunglasses now but I want a nice pair eventually.
Natter 54: Right here, dammit.

Are sunglasses like umbrellas, in that the more expensive they are, the more likely they are to be lost?
Kathy sums up my glasses wearing experince nicely. Though if I'm in a contact wearing phase it gets more comlpicated since my glasses are not actually on my face all the time.
I always sneeze when I'm first exposed to bright light. Pale, light-blue-eyes, natural redhead. My family used to use me as party trick: "Watch this, watch this. Hey, Connie, come out here! Watch this, she'll sneeze."
I'm glad I got a good pair of Rx sunglasses a couple years ago-- I have them in a hard-sided case that is always found in one of my handbags, so they don't get lost. I was also surprised that LensCrafters has a nice selection of fashionable-looking sunglass frames.
Ah yes, good old Autosomal dominant Compelling Helio-Ophthalmic Outburst syndrome. All the women in my family have it -- it's hilarious when we all walk out of a restaurant together, take three steps, pause, sneeze, and keep going. It's always perfectly synchronized.

Oh, gods. Y'all really should film that. Please?
The only times I've "lost" my glasses are the times when I carelessly toss them someplace while changing, and then when I go to put them on again, realize I'm too blind to see where the glasses landed.
You'd think I'd learn.
I had a pair of Ray Ban Wayfarers rebuilt with sunglass lens in my prescription. They live in my car, since my regular glasses won't darken in the car due to the winshield (I have Transitions lenses).
My dad, sister, and I all have that reaction to bright sun, too! It's particularly strong when coming out of a dark movie theater.
