Actually, I was thinking it would be sort of like a pet. You know, we could...we could name her Trixie, or Miss Kitty Fantastico, or something.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Go, EmDad!

I hate empire waists, because I always fear I look pregnant. However, were I actually pregnant, this would've been an awesome time, save a lot of money on maternity wear!

Except this season, they were made without room for tatas.

And trust me, even if you start out small, you'll want room for those.

Man, you Pink Lady haters make me sad! That was my first ever mixed drink ordered when I was 21! I love 'em!

Mmm. Foamy pink ginny goodness. Nom nom nom.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray Emily's dad!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Oh, Emily, that's excellent news! Your dad must be (quietly) over the moon with relief. I know there are still health issues to deal with, but that's a huge good thing.

President A. is smart. He might be a lot of other things, but I can't argue with his bush-assessment.

I'm with erika.

ION, there is ongoing family drama with my cousin and her soon-to-be ex, which is making my stomach clench with hatred for him but my mom has made me promise not to talk about it to anyone I'm not actually related to. But I hope it's safe to say here (since I'm naming no names at all and nobody here knows any of the people involved) that (a) as much as he was never my favorite relative-in-law before, I never would have imagined he could be such an utter fucking cockbite, (b) I can't believe someone with three children could be such a public cockbite (memo to cockbite: Just because their mom is your ex-wife, they're not your ex-children, fucko), and (c) since he still lives in SF, I have to hope to God that our paths never cross because I will do my very best to punch him in the fucking nuts.

Wow. Even cryptic venting helps.

Punishingly Intricate

Man, you Pink Lady haters make me sad! That was my first ever mixed drink ordered when I was 21! I love 'em!

See I thought I would love them! Maybe it's just the recipe in teh Joy of Cooking is effed up.

Yay for Emily's dad!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Yay, Emily!

There's a Mexican restaurant near me famous for its margaritas that is rumored to put egg whites in them.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

JZ, your vent is at once perfect and blessedly free of personally identifying information. Unless his actual real name is "cockbite", in which case it might shoulda been some kind of warning.

Sophia Brooks - Sep 24, 2007 11:53:16 am PDT #2596 of 10001
Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Yay Emily!

Sophia, I think it does mean you're losing it. Time to go home!

See, I am picturing these giant bookends of Rodin's The Thinker and this man's disappointment about losing out on SIX FOOT BOOKENDS! And the kind of books you would put between six foot bookends!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Forgot to say, meara, gin fizzes are the traditional Christmas brunch drink on my mom's side of the family, and they are indeed delicious. All fizzy and tart and rich (without being uncomfortably, eggnoggishly heavy) and festive. So yum!

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there
