Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Quick French translation request for my WIP...

"Good morning, your majesty." (Majesty in question is a queen, in case gender matters.)

"And good morning to you, too, your majesty." (Here the royal being greeted is male. And it doesn't have to be a direction translation--I'm just looking for "good morning," but not with the exact same wording.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And it was damned good sushi, too.

It was. We need to go back soon.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

sigh. I want sushi now.

I am trying to work right now, but I am growing bored of working. Too bad my work isn't obliging enough to disappear.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Friday my parents got back from a trip and stopped by my house to pick up their car. Mom presented me with Pirate adhesive bandages (which come with a pirate rubber ducky pencil topper) as a thank-you. This morning I slipped in the shower and cut up my hand. My first coherent thought was Hey I can use my pirate bandaids!

Apart from sports, "my secret favorite thing on earth is ketchup. I will put ketchup on anything. But it has to be Heinz." - my husband, Michael Vartan

Thanks!

Pirate band-aids are awesome.

Sushi is ick.

"Good morning, your majesty." (Majesty in question is a queen, in case gender matters.)

Bonjour, Votre Majesté.

Bizarrely, for a country that did not have female leaders, majesté is feminine, so the spelling would be the same for either sex. In reference to the queen, one might specify "Sa Majesté la reine" so you probably could add "la reine" (queen) afterwards if that distinction is important.

"And good morning to you, too, your majesty." (Here the royal being greeted is male. And it doesn't have to be a direction translation--I'm just looking for "good morning," but not with the exact same wording.)

Et bonjour à vous, Votre Majesté.

This is a direct translation, but I also think it is probably the correct response to the above. Note that I think "Majesté" is only used for kings and queens, no other royals.

All my reference materials are in my office, I can check tomorrow and see if I turn up anything else.

Pirate band-aids are awesome.

Except the black fades very quickly. The devil ducks (which are yellow with red ducks) are more resistant.

Sushi is ick.

I assume here you are talking about the real thing, not sushi band-aids. If so, I agree.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I just spent the day with ChiKat, helping her doing some unpacking. We got all of her books shelved (I organized them for her--put my bookstore/library skills to work) and started to hook up her entertainment electronics, until she discovered that one of her speaker connections was broken. Oh, well, we got some other boxes unpacked, so she's pretty close to being all moved in. Her computer hookup is still not working, so she hasn't been able to log into Buffistas, but she should be back online pretty soon.

I got her cat a kitty crack pad for the housewarming gift, and he was all over it. Between that, and my finding his favorite toy in a box I unpacked, he loved me for feeding his catnip jones--he even went looking for me when I went to the bathroom, which he'd never done before when I visited.

Her new apartment is very nice, and so close to her new job that she could walk there if she needed to. I'm jealous.

moi aussi.

My band aids didn't stay on long enough to fade but I have reapplied so we'll see. I just have a flap and some missing skin but they sting if I don't have bandaids on them.

I love sushi ::and:: I have yummy sushi pajamas (retail price $85) that I got at a resale shop for $4.50. Unfortunately they are yellow and Buffy's were white.

I was indeed talking about the real thing. But I have a feeling that sushi band-aids are probably also ick.
