I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Happy birthday Sue!

Late birthday wishes to those I've missed recently.

Mac was bad at school yesterday and the office was called to the classroom to deal with him, but no call to me and NO NOTE HOME! How am I supposed to know about things if they do not tell me. SO I find out this morning and try to give him a talking to as I am dropping him in his room and he is mad and starting to cry and pout. I am not predicting a great day ahead for him.

ION Work sucks.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Punishingly Intricate

I don't get the bucket thing. I've lost touch with the zeitgeist I guess.

My mom just "celebrated" 25 years with her employer. What fancy-schmancy prize did she get, you ask? $250. $250!

uh, well, that is $10 a year. geez.

Happy Birthday, Sue!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I guess cash is better than a lame gift?

Islamists Battle Cats

Another cartoon controversy, this time in Bangladesh.

I dunno - the cartoon seems pretty benign to me. Plus it's funny.

By today the military government of Bangladesh had arrested the cartoonist, banned the cartoon, confiscated all copies of the newspaper issue, and forced the newspaper to fire the editor responsible for publishing the cartoon. Prothom Alo has also apologized profusely to its readers in two front page editorials.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I made you a post, but the board eated it.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That is weird, and depressing, tommyrot. From what (very) little I know of Mohammed, he himself would've gotten a kick out of the cartoon. This was a man who, when he found one of his cats peacefully asleep on the sleeve of his favorite fancy jacket just as he was about to go out, cut the sleeve off and departed one-sleeved rather than wake the cat.
