I've been productive all day, but it's barely 1:30 and I have nothing left to do. I already did all my end-of-month stuff this morning.

There is only so much work I can pretend to do.

My co-worker's daughter has a "Just Like Me" doll and a Samantha doll and a bitty baby.

I admit to an unholy love for all things American Girl. If we had the money, Em would be lousy with them, as would I.

And all the clothes and furniture.

It's cause I never had dolls when I was little, except my CPK's. My sister got all of the awesome dolls.

I am SWAMPED today, so nsm with the slow.

I love all the American Girl paraphenelia, too. Actually, it's just like Barbie -- I was never that interested in the dolls themselves, but I REALLY wanted that Dream House. (Note: Barbie was verboten in my house.)

I don't know that I've ever had The Flu - I get colds sometimes, but I've never had something that knocked me on my ass for 2 weeks. I've been getting the shots every year since 2004, though.

I just have to add that the one time I got sick that knocked me on my ass for two weeks (literally), the doctor told me it wasn't The Flu anyway, because (IIRC) my fever wasn't high enough, or something. This is why I don't bother with the flu shot now.

I have never had a flu shot, but I did have the flu one year. It's distinctive because not only did I have a four-pack-a-day cough for the next month, the initial illness was the kind where you end up sleeping on the floor because you're not smart enough to find your bed. In your own bedroom.

Of course, I'm also theoretically the person who had whooping cough a year ago, or anyway I had a cough, and it was loudly persistent, and the doctor theorized as much but strangely nobody around me came down with similar symptoms.

...I think that somebody on this planet is smoking four packs a day with impunity, and I am getting that person's symptoms.

I love the AG paraphernalia. It's so good. Plus - I've always loved the historical stuff so all the 18th and 19th century AG paraphernalia -- totally want.
