Swouncing

one-seventeenth

That's the exact place in your post where I could contain it no longer, for the record.

And, and - I don't need to do another visa. The one I have holds for ten years. And it's not all my life savings to buy a ticket, it's just a lot.

And my best friend and her two adorable kids (one is ten months old and has just started standing, and the other is almost three years old and in some pictures he already looks like the kid he's going to grow up into, and I can't put into words the amount of missing them that I do every day, and that's even without getting their mommy in the mix) - well, they're all in Palo Alto for at least two years, so most chances are, I'll visit there, sometime in the foreseeable future.

Um, wait, that wasn't the point of that post, wasn't it? But it's what's on my mind a lot, so there you go.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Plus they'd have to know where our breathing weakness was.

All they have to do is cover every surface. That'll get them inside your nose in no time at all, and then soon your mouth and into your lungs. Bingo! Deadikins.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Slowest day ever. Y/N?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

And I was thinking it but forgot to say it:

tommyrot, tons of ~ma to your mother. She's in my thoughts (and, if she cares to hear such things from your invisible friends, my prayers). It sounds like they caught it early and she's in a good place emotionally; may all that continue and may her cancer just bugger the hell off (er, don't tell her I said that part).

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

All they have to do is cover every surface. That'll get them inside your nose in no time at all, and then soon your mouth and into your lungs. Bingo! Deadikins.

Yeah, but that'd be kind of a waste of resources. Plus all you'd have to do is cover your face with a cloth or something.

Now if they knew where our weakness was, they could use a much smaller group, making it easier to sneak up on us before we could cover our faces with something.

I was about to type "one-nineteenth" when my brain said, Hey, self, what are you doing? This is Nilly!

A Palo Alto visit would be wonderful -- your friend and her babies, and the university campus, and also there's the lovely drive from Palo Alto to San Francisco, along a quiet highway that cuts through misty heavily-forested canyons that look like something out of LoTR in miniature. Every time I drive that way I think, "This is so cool and fairy-tale-looking! Why didn't we drive Nilly this way when she was here?"

They're bees. They swarm. They're the do-swarm bug.

And, yes, tommy, I have no clear memory of if I did post my wishes of ~ma to your mother, but I was hoping that everything is as minimal as possible for her. I'm just easily distracted these days, and probably forgot to type that I was hoping.

Your way of driving to Palo Alto clearly is not my way.

Punishingly Intricate

I love that drive! If it's the one I'm thinking of. I drove it with my mom once when she was visiting me out there and I hit a chipmunk. My mom taunted me about being a woodland creature killer for years afterwards.
