"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hooray for Buffista psychology!

Kind of a fluff piece by psych standards, but still interesting.

Happy birthday, lori!

Happy anniversary to Ple and P.!

Emmett's been sick all week and I have to go collect him and his barking cough.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I was reading this article.

How many of you get flu shots? I never have, partly because I haven't had the flu since 1998, when I caught from a coworker I shared an office with.

Nilly, you have not offended me. Each year of knowing you is a pleasure.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Feedback from my editor:

***********

I haven't done a full read of it yet, but initial thoughts (aside from the fact that it's wonderful):

  • The long quotes - I like these - let's keep them all in, if that's OK with you.
  • Citations/endnotes: yes, I prefer the idea of having an endnotes section - could you get working on that?

*******

Of course, he's supposed to say it's wonderful, but it's nice to hear anyway.

Yay! And congrats on meeting the deadline, too.

msbelle, did you receive my e-mail?

Punishingly Intricate

Yay for wonderful!!

I am craving a grilled cheese and/or hot wings.

I will have the big salad I brought and I'm sure it will be delicious but...still grilled cheese.

I usually get a flu shot. Mostly because my old company provided them.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Well, I met something like my fourth extended deadline. But I did meet it.

Thanks, all! It's starting to feel like it really is done. We're going to turn the edits around this week so it'll be pretty quick.

information libertarian

My workplace gives free flu shots, and so does mr. flea's school. We both get them, what with the having tiny kids, who are at special risk (the kids get them too, obviously). I don't know that I've ever had The Flu - I get colds sometimes, but I've never had something that knocked me on my ass for 2 weeks. I've been getting the shots every year since 2004, though.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I've never been inoculated. It seems unwise for me to add stuff to the chemical soup that is my blood, but on the other hand, migraines make even a cold so much worse--I'd be a puling mess if I caught the flu.
