Atherton: Half the men in this room wish you were on their arm, tonight. Inara: Only half. I must be losing my indefinable allure.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Thanks guys. I think I'll go to St. Vincent's tonight.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I used to travel a lot for business. It kind of took the shine off of the hotel experience.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Funnily, it never did that for me. Even the plain jane national chain nothing special hotels...something about that extra bed in the room and knowing I wasn't cleaning the bathroom.

I'm a simple girl, with simple needs.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, me too. We travel constantly, but I still love a good clean hotel room. I also still love the actual travel, no matter what the destination, although the SO has started to wear on that. He's got seven years on me, so I may feel differently later, but right now, still love.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think if I traveled much more than I do, I would stop liking it so much, but I'm not 100% sure of that. The level I'm at right now is perfect, though. I get all excited every time!

Relatedly, Dana, insent.

One thing I do like about hotel rooms is clean sheets every day.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I love quirky hotels, but if not for the need to sleep rather than drive off the road on long trips I'd never set foot in another La Quinta or Holiday Inn.

I even like the bleachy sheet smell. I love it about my gym (the block smells of it) and there's a gym on my walk to the office that manages to waft eau-de-industrial-laundry.

Not sure why it appeals so much. I can't possibly be that lazy.

Hi Kristin! Miss you.
Miss you too, love. I'm leaving school to pick Joe up at the airport soon. These two things are not connected.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

One thing I do like about hotel rooms is clean sheets every day.

Yeah. You know those signs they leave about in hotels, saying, "Help save the environment by not having us wash your sheets every day"? Fuck that. Clean sheets every day are an intrinsic part of the hotel experience, dammit!
