It's "Inspector George Gently". I find it interesting to see all the period details (if "period" is appropriate from something fairly recent). The clothes and music are familiar to me from my childhood, along with a lot of the attitudes, allowing for differences between countries. "Two nations separated by a common tongue." (or whatever the quote is)

He looked the same to me too. TCG and I laughed when his character was suddenly caught up in a ponzi scheme, since his character in Ringer was also caught up in one.

He basically seemed to be the Ringers guy.
I hate "I am irrationally jealous of your perfectly above board interaction with a guy whose crime is being cuter than me" -> "Oh, well, there was a kiss, so my caveman possessiveness was totally founded, except not founded, because there was no EVIDENCE..."
That is one of the "new we've gotten them together" things I'd love to avoid. Never mind Moonlighting. THIS.
However, I'm sure I'll find out that it not only happens in real life, but it's also exciting when it does, so it's both plausible and entertaining. Enh.
