Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The first wife is her mother, I think. The second wife was mentioned only in passing in the first season and this week is the most they've talked about her.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am very amused by the "red shirt ensign on Star Trek" reference, and then a guest spot from JOHNATHAN FRAKES.

To understand what happened at the diner, we shall use Mr. Papaya! This is upsetting because he's the friendliest of fruits.

The first wife is, indeed, Alexis' mother, and is a dilettante actress.

The second wife we met in the first episode, and is also Castle's agent. So she's been around, just not on camera.

brillig

I keep forgetting there's a whole other season of Castle I've never seen. Is it as funny as this one?

It's pretty much exactly the same. It hit its niche running, and has pretty much stayed there. Which is not a bad quality in a confection.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I really shouldn't watch a creepy episode of Criminal Minds alone at night. Yeesh.
