You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

It's a floor wax AND a dessert topping!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Is it wrong for me to drive (four hours) to my sister's for Thanksgiving on Thursday morning instead of Wednesday afternoon, so that I can watch Criminal Minds as it airs?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

LeN, I didn't want to repost your info, so I figured if I mentioned it then you could do it.

Dude, it's episode 100! The manangst (I don't want to call it manpain--it's a slightly different flavour) will be epic.

I know! Epic. She'll just have to deal. If she can rearrange her life around her boyfriend's intense love of sports, she can give me a little leeway for my intense love of certain television shows, right? Besides, she can't make me! stamps foot but in a really grown-up way

So - best TV dad currently:

Cal Lightman, Nick Castle or Jack Carter?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Well, I'm several episodes behind in Lie to Me, and I haven't seen Jack recently, so I'll go with Castle for the moment. I like his parenting a whole lot.

I would say Lightman. Best daughter would be Castle's - but she grew up despite some questionable parenting skills.

I think Cal has too much friction in his relationship with Emily to win. I'd probably give the edge to Jack because Alexis kinda raises herself--or maybe Rick gets the points for doing that good a job. It's a hard call.

Cal is still head and shoulders above a lot of TV dads. But my favourite of the past decade is probably Sandy Cohen from The O.C.
