Reynolds, I'm a dangerous-minded man on a ship loaded with hurt. Now, why you got me chatting with your peons?

He was on a rerun of NCIS I saw a few weeks ago--it was fun to say, "Hey, that's Esposito!!"

And Esposito's nickname is apparently Honey Milk.

I so love Castle being a good dad, with typical dad angst but no tragic underpinnings. And he was sensible when Scarlet threw herself at him! He's a mostly grown-up who's comfortable wtih what goes on in his own head. Very refreshing.

And I notice his coat is often brown.

re: Bones--what was with all the people coming in getting things signed? It felt like a good Bones ep, with odd characters and not too painful interpersonal stuff.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Jessup, the felon locksmith wannabe, was terrifically written, and the actor who played him was hilarious.

I really like that actor. I hope that he becomes a recurring character, but not too often.

And Castle ending up in the back seat with Jessup when he annoyed Beckett.

re: Bones--what was with all the people coming in getting things signed?

I read somewhere (probably the Bones comm on LJ) that they were people from The Simpsons crew/writing staff and that it was part of The Simpsons Scavenger hunt. I had no idea while watching, so odd, and I expected they were going somewhere with it.

I agree.

Someone over at TWOP figured out the "Honey Milk?" reference that the vice cop made when meeting Ryan:

Nice bit of continuity: When Esposito introduces his friend from Vice to Ryan, and the guy says "Honey Milk?" It took me awhile to realize that was a callback to earlier in the season (second episode?) when Ryan revealed that he and his wife liked to have warm milk and honey before going to bed.

ETA: Poster later corrected it to girlfriend, not wife.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really like that actor.

That's Leon on Curb Your Enthusiasm, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I had to copy over Dana's manpain flowchart link because it mention's G Cullen's ludicrous multiple foster family angst. The math on that totally doesn't even work. I can't believe NCIS:LA gets a shoutout in the same flowchart that Batman does. And I guess Chris does double duty.
