“Not dead yet!”

Hee! Intern Wendell. He and Mr. Nigel-Murray compete for my affection as my favorite.

Yes, I couldn't remember his name. One of the minuses of the rotating assistants.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I need to keep up with this thread, so I can post about things as they happen, and thus I need to start watching tv shows as they air. I don't know how I'll go back to the days when I couldn't skip the commericals.

In short: I'm loving Castle, for all the reasons already mentioned (Tarot, grammar, Firefly, Fillion, funny, good-dad-being). I'm enjoying White Collar (though I liked the 2nd episode much less than the 1st) and am not surprised to find Bomer is gay. The slashy spark was right there; I wasn't even making it up this time. According to my DVR, the 2nd episode shown was actually number 3, and that worries me a little, but we'll see. My interest in NCIS has waned, sadly. The characters and their dynamic have not matured and I'm bored with them. I'm still enjoying Lie To Me but it's not appointment tv. Fringe has lost me and I'm saving FlashForward to watch in a binge when the season is over, because I think taking that show in bits will drive me nuts.

Inexplicably, I'm suddenly in love in Criminal Minds and have bought the whole series and mainlined it. (Actually, it might not be inexplicable. I think it may be explicated by saying "Thomas Gibson" a few times in a sultry voice.) None of their plots creep me out or even seem terribly over-the-top. I thought the pregnant-woman-baby-farm episode was one of their less-exciting episodes. I may be insane. The eyes one was squicky, though, because, EYES. The taxidermied animal with human eyes was extra-wrong. I feared this new role-reversal between Hotch and Morgan was going to be uncomfortable, but so far (one episode in) it's all good - they're handling it like mature adults, Hotch might be glad to have a breather from the weight of the world, and Morgan might be finding out that being in charge isn't as much fun as he thought it would be. Hotch isn't missing a chance to give Morgan some backtalk, either. "You know you should've waited for back-up!" "Would YOU have?" ... "What?" Ha! I hope they catch Foyet this season, though. This arc needs a decisive end.

I'm also glad that they found a way to give Morgan the office without making Hotch give up his. I also like that Morgan is pushing back against Strauss. He's respectful, but he's not going to be her bitch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I do think Morgan should have called her back sooner, though. They need to play politics if they're going to get the team back the way it was. It was a one minute call, in the end.

I think I need to ask her before I watch Bones. If it's a good Hodgins episode or something particularly interesting happens, then I'll watch it. But last night was irritating. I'm still flummoxed by Angela and Brennan's friendship, on both sides, and I didn't like the premium that Angela was putting on the piglet. And sleeping with Wendell was icky, although he is a charmer.

Think Jane is right on The Mentalist? Bosco killed someone and Lisbon knows? I'd thought it was an affair, but that wouldn't kill their careers now, just shame them, maybe. Lisbon seemed quite unaffected that Jane is refusing to alter his behaviour in any way--I guess I'm only a little surprised. He could have been more grateful, though.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

ita - I can't believe you are still watching Bones at all, you seem to hate the writing of Brennan so much I can't see how it is at all enjoyable.

I love Hodgins that much. But he was barely in it last night. Then I end up getting curious about how things they mention at the start are going to work out, so I don't fast forward as much as my blood pressure recommends. Like through the Angela bit (I wanted Hodgins to get back with her, but now I don't like her as much, so I'm conflicted).

I also do wonder if they're really not going to get Booth and Brennan together until the very end, but I really don't need to see the middle of that.

Why do you think that it's icky? He's an adult, and she's not his supervisor. Plus, we don't know that they slept together, Angela's on her celibacy kick. They could have just made out. There's definitely some intimacy there, but it doesn't have to have been between the sheets intimacy. Frankly, I can't see her blowing her celibacy on a fling with Wendell.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Vortex, yes, on both counts. I also like that Morgan is willing to listen to Hotch's advice, but doesn't automatically do what Hotch thinks he should. And that there was no drama from either of them. The whole team, even Rossi, was kinda walking on eggshells at first, feeling out how this was gonna work.

I like that the show doesn't get bogged down in their personal lives, but I would like some more backstory on Prentiss. She's the only one we really haven't seen anything about; all we know is who her mother is. Is there really nothing else to know about her? J.J. and Hotch once mentioned that none of this has ever bothered her, she's never blinked, and she replied that she compartmentalizes better than most people - there has to be a reason for that.

I'd also like to know Hotch's timeline - he married his high school sweetheart, right? And they're in their late-30s/early 40s now, right? Why did they wait so long to have a baby? Not that there aren't any good reasons for that.
