I'm also glad that they found a way to give Morgan the office without making Hotch give up his. I also like that Morgan is pushing back against Strauss. He's respectful, but he's not going to be her bitch.

This thread is for procedural TV, shows where the primary idea is to figure out the case. [NAFDA]
I do think Morgan should have called her back sooner, though. They need to play politics if they're going to get the team back the way it was. It was a one minute call, in the end.
I think I need to ask her before I watch Bones. If it's a good Hodgins episode or something particularly interesting happens, then I'll watch it. But last night was irritating. I'm still flummoxed by Angela and Brennan's friendship, on both sides, and I didn't like the premium that Angela was putting on the piglet. And sleeping with Wendell was icky, although he is a charmer.
Think Jane is right on The Mentalist? Bosco killed someone and Lisbon knows? I'd thought it was an affair, but that wouldn't kill their careers now, just shame them, maybe. Lisbon seemed quite unaffected that Jane is refusing to alter his behaviour in any way--I guess I'm only a little surprised. He could have been more grateful, though.
ita - I can't believe you are still watching Bones at all, you seem to hate the writing of Brennan so much I can't see how it is at all enjoyable.
I love Hodgins that much. But he was barely in it last night. Then I end up getting curious about how things they mention at the start are going to work out, so I don't fast forward as much as my blood pressure recommends. Like through the Angela bit (I wanted Hodgins to get back with her, but now I don't like her as much, so I'm conflicted).
I also do wonder if they're really not going to get Booth and Brennan together until the very end, but I really don't need to see the middle of that.
And sleeping with Wendell was icky, although he is a charmer.
Why do you think that it's icky? He's an adult, and she's not his supervisor. Plus, we don't know that they slept together, Angela's on her celibacy kick. They could have just made out. There's definitely some intimacy there, but it doesn't have to have been between the sheets intimacy. Frankly, I can't see her blowing her celibacy on a fling with Wendell.
Vortex, yes, on both counts. I also like that Morgan is willing to listen to Hotch's advice, but doesn't automatically do what Hotch thinks he should. And that there was no drama from either of them. The whole team, even Rossi, was kinda walking on eggshells at first, feeling out how this was gonna work.
I like that the show doesn't get bogged down in their personal lives, but I would like some more backstory on Prentiss. She's the only one we really haven't seen anything about; all we know is who her mother is. Is there really nothing else to know about her? J.J. and Hotch once mentioned that none of this has ever bothered her, she's never blinked, and she replied that she compartmentalizes better than most people - there has to be a reason for that.
I'd also like to know Hotch's timeline - he married his high school sweetheart, right? And they're in their late-30s/early 40s now, right? Why did they wait so long to have a baby? Not that there aren't any good reasons for that.
Is there really nothing else to know about her?
We know she had a rebellion against religion in her teen years and an abortion--that's not nothing.
Why do you think that it's icky? He's an adult, and she's not his supervisor.
I just remember her reticence about workplace romance with Hodgins, I guess, and I was still rooting for the two of them. Now they're on the down low--it's more the now of it than the it of it. I jumped to the sleeping together place because of her sensitivity to the idea that Wendell had stepped in for Hodgins. It seemed a bit much for just a makeout session--and the makeout session seemed a bit much for just a $45 donation, no matter how broke a carnivore he is. Sweets was right. She's disproportionately focussed.
Criminal Minds - I started watching the episode from a couple weeks ago which started with some guys watching a home movie of them beating people to death.
I stopped watching a few minutes in, because I was finding it too upsetting. Is the whole episode like that, or do I just need to skip the first scene?
The episode as a whole is pretty upsetting Ouise, although it does have character points for Hotch and Morgan. But the crimes continue to be brutal and the criminals especially reprehensible.
It is the episode that has conflict between Hotch and Morgan and starts another arc for Morgan if you want to watch with your eyes half closed and your finger on fast-forward.

I'd guess that he kept promising that his work life would settle down later, so he could be more available at home, but it never did (and it never will).
