"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Just watched Friday's Numb3rs. I'm not sure that I like this "quirky guest professor of the week" thing. On the other hand, it's more realistic for them to call on people with various types of expertise instead of Charlie, Larry and Amita having all of the scientific knowledge in the world.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's the quirky part that bothers me, more than their cost-cutting rotation. Are Charlie and Amita really that exceptional, that they can pass for normal?

But even worse was the invisible cellphone Pentagon guy. That was way too precious.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

A) I miss Larry. I always miss Larry when he's gone.

B) Seriously. And I think if invisible cellphone guy had been played with a touch more menace and a touch less whimsy it would have come off with the right panache. But as it was, definitely too precious.

The status is NOT quo.

Yes, this. And also what Liese said. I adore Larry and miss him terribly, and invisible cellphone guy had me tilting my head sideways and muttering, "When did the writers decide what this show really needed was Colonel Flagg?"

Art Crawl!!!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I'd suggest skipping Numb3rs. It was painful.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I've given up on Numb3rs. I haven't seen a new ep this season.

It's showing the effects of cost-cutting measures. Losing Larry to profs of the week, and there hasn't really been any of Don's girlfriend.
