It is so disturbing that it was Zack.

And yet the main reason he got caught was because he couldn't let Hodgins be maimed, and let himself get permanently crippled in the process. Damn.

Wow, that was more Capt. Exposition than I meant, but it fits the character both ways. I'll be sorry to see him go, though.

Bones: I did not like how it began (I thought their rapid dispensation of Booth's "is he dead or not" situation was beyond lame, although I suppose I should give them points for surprising me by not having it be a dream sequence) and I was REALLY, REALLY unhappy with how it ended. First of all, I like Zack so much. I know that's purely an emotional response on my part, but damn. Secondly, I need a bit more of an explanation to parse out how he could turn into a killer and follower of the Gormogon (or however that's spelled) -- and so quickly (didn't Zack say they just met 3 months before?). Oh, and did anyone else want to just smack Booth upside the head during the bedside interrogation scene? Obviously Zack was responding to Brennan, and equally obviously he would give her information that he wouldn't give up to Booth. Booth constantly interrupting wasn't helping at all.

That moment of Bones reaching him through logic was really well done.

All season, I had been wondering about Zack coming back from Iraq, and how they were going to play out any consequences of that. Maybe that was what contributed to all of this, but it got cut because of the strike?

Oh, and did anyone else want to just smack Booth upside the head during the bedside interrogation scene?

It was totally in character for him, though.

Man, first Bones shocks the hell out of me and now House is putting me through the wringer. Jeebus, I hate season finales.

I hate to say it, but I'm glad it was Zack because I like Hodgins more (and would hate it was him for Angela's sake), and I think Sweets adds a better dynamic to the team. So - logical.

Exactly. Booth is often eminently smackable. For all values of smacking. Take that as you will.

I thought we were going to get The Rolling Stones there. (When Amber said "Well, you can't always get what you want.")
