Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

Because books.

I was going to say, I was way confused.

Tonight's was new highs in "I can't believe they did that" and/or "I can't believe Hannibal did that."

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Sorry. I never seem to watch anything in sync with the world anymore.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

"Is he safe?"

"From me, or for you?"

Wow. That was no small exchange.

I want to see ground plans for Hannibal and Chilten's homes. They must be massive. They both seem to have wine storage the size of my living room. And if it weren't for the risk of ending up dead and/or eaten, Hannibal would be a awesome moving buddy.

Because books.

Hannibal gets shit done, for sure.

I'm not loving the Miriam thing -- the whole thing is a little too implausible. If she can't tell the shadow man from her captivity was Hannibal, there's no reason she should think it was Chilton. Not that Hannibal staging that scene at Chilton's was any more plausible, but still.

Hanibal's flinch when Will came closer with the gun was amazing -- he's actually vulnerable. It's hard to remember sometimes.

Does Will know Alana slept with Hannibal? Or is *involved* with him?

Hannibal could have implanted memories of Chilton in her brain? I'm not convinced Chilton is dead and that what we saw last night wasn't just a story that was told to Hannibal so that he wouldn't think they still suspect him. If he is though, there goes my theory about not killing off people that are characters in the books.

Does Will know Alana slept with Hannibal? Or is *involved* with him?

It seemed clear to me that he had figured it out.

Because books.

I got a little distracted toward the end. Thanks, sj.

Yeah, I kept thinking, "They can't kill Chilton, he has to torment Hannibal at a later point!"

From the look that crossed his face, I took it as he put 2 and 2 together and got ewwww.

Yeah, my guess is that Hannibal planted the Chilton memory in Miriam's head. Another thing got mentioned over on Tumblr, though. Alana's known Hannibal longer than anybody on screen. He was her mentor. She uses a hypnotic technique very similar to his.

Did he teach it to her?

How far into HER head is he? Is that why she can't see him?

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I want to know Hannibal managed to open the door to two FBI agents while dressed in his murder uniform yet somehow get the drop on both of them.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

Tonight's Mentalist: Did anyone not spot who the murderer was as soon as the couple was confronted the first time? Did anyone not know what trick was being played as soon as the Fibbies grabbed the cell phones?

Also continues not to be funny enough. I'm fine with Lisbon moving on - in fact I think it is overdue. But there needs to continue to be Jane/Lisbon banter. Also Jane/Cho banter. Also Dennis Abbot is being wasted. Fine he can't control Jane. But he should be giving him all sorts of shit. I hope there is a payoff for how meekly he deals with Jane - proves to have been biding his time to pull something really sneaky.
