We only caught it on Hulu over the summer, but will definitely be watching in real time this season.

Comedy 1: A Little Song, a Little Dance, a Little Seltzer Down Your Pants
This thread is for comedy TV, including network and cable shows. [NAFDA]
From what I hear, the fall TV season on network this year is a DISASTER in terms of new shows. Like, "worst ever fall TV season in all my years of coverage" has been uttered by more than one critics. Hopefully that would mean that the network would be more nurturing toward their existing shows, especially ones as critically beloved as The Good Place.
I did catch the trailer to a new comedy called The Mayor, which looks cute and promising, even though the story beats are predictable. Plus, it's produced by Daveed Diggs of Hamilton fame, which is perfect because it's about a rapper who goes into politics: [link]
Yay, Good Place! I'm so excited it's back.
Although, we're currently finishing up another show. So, we sadly probably won't be able to watch it for a few more days.
I hope I can watch it some where tomorrow. I think I've lost the tv for the night to Mom.
I have always wanted to do SSC, but Monday nights are tough, and I always have to get back.
The Good Place S2 premiere was a trip. I quite liked the overlapping multiple POV approach. Tahani's section made me laugh the hardest. Can you believe this is Jameela Jamil's first acting gig? (I think she worked as a TV presenter in UK before this). Her comic timing is amazing. Favourite bits: her successively more disparaging/despairing monikers for a female plumber. I lost it at "clog wench."
It also cracked me up that the show has now partially turned into a work-place comedy, except instead of a paper company or a police station, it's a workplace sitcom about demons who are disgruntled at not being able to go on with their usual torturing. And I know it's a cheap gag, but Eleanor's new soulmate's stripper tear-away tops/jackets made me howl every. single. time.
"I live in a boundless void."
"Can I go there?"
"No. It's a boundless void."
I can't believe how they still have me invested in Jason/Janet but they have, and I am.
Looking forward to what they're gonna come up with next!
That was awesome. I love how they resolved the plot thread from the cliffhanger, but now introduced Michael's thin-ice situation with Captain Holt's husband. (Yes, I'm sure the actor has a name.)
Real!Eleanor's frustration over being a Ferrari left in the garage! Eleanor's soulmate, who was happy with his old job in Twisting!
I also recognized one of the demons from The Guild, Felicia Day's gaming webseries.
The Real!Eleanor actress is a lot of fun and I'm glad we're gonna continue to spend time with her. I like that the demons are developing their own quirks and personalities. LOL at that one dude who was just super-intent on biting people!

Heh. That's how I think of him as well. Marc Evan Jackson is his name (okay, I had to Google it. He's one of those H!ITGs and I flove his dry line delivery). My guess is that Michael would eventually have to work with our foursome to escape Shawn's wrath/eternal torment. Lots of chewy storyline potentials in how that might come about.
