That makes sense. After I said "a little Se7en, a little Zodiac" I realized they were both Fincher. And I love me some David Fincher, so.
I spent so much of the time trying to nail down just what they were riffing on that it distracted me from actually enjoying the episode.
Yeah, I was similarly distracted for a few minutes but I just figured there are some references I'm not gonna get because sometimes I live under a rock.
The Mindy Project is kinda hitting my allergies.
We are just catching up with last season's Community and it's SO BAD.
It's a gas-leak year.
(I really didn't think it was that bad. I liked it.)
I liked it. I didn't love it.
"Uncanny valley" sums up season 4 for me. Which is not, for me, as negative as maybe it sounds. I wouldn't call it bad, but, y'know, off.
Anyway, the way they say "gas leak year" it could mean season 4 or season 3. That was crazy town bananapants, after all.
you know, "uncanny valley" is probably a really apt description. I would use it negatively, but I like that phrase for that season.
There were two episodes I remember quite liking last year, including the one by Jim Rash. The others were blah-ish, though they had their moments. At times it seemed like only Donald Glover was bringing something fun to his character. Not that everybody was slacking by any means but my fav moments were with Troy.
I'm glad that Cougar Town is back and that "Penny Can!" has gone global(loving the bits of foreign people seeing Bobby on the street)
