"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

you know, "uncanny valley" is probably a really apt description. I would use it negatively, but I like that phrase for that season.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

There were two episodes I remember quite liking last year, including the one by Jim Rash. The others were blah-ish, though they had their moments. At times it seemed like only Donald Glover was bringing something fun to his character. Not that everybody was slacking by any means but my fav moments were with Troy.

Always Anti-fascist!

I'm glad that Cougar Town is back and that "Penny Can!" has gone global(loving the bits of foreign people seeing Bobby on the street)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That was fun. Bobby echoing whatever language people were yelling at him was great.

"Uncanny valley" sums up season 4 for me. Which is not, for me, as negative as maybe it sounds. I wouldn't call it bad, but, y'know, off.

That's a great description.

This ep didn't really grab me. I guess I was comparing it to the L&O ep, which was so great. Not that that's necessarily fair, but there you have it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

This episode was SO weird. It had its moments, but still.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Fabulous stunt casting at the end of HIMYM.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Okay, that? Was way better than the first 2 episodes. (Community, I mean.)

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Walt Goggins very last line got cut off. Can anyone tell me what the punchline was?

Liked the episode a lot. Just like Pierce to manage to fuck with everyone even beyond the grave. Also can see how they are (sadly) writing Troy out of the show.

Nothing's making me laugh out loud yet, though, and this show used to do that to me fairly regularly. I like that the characters seem back in line from last season at least.

Oh, but having Walt Goggins at all was frelling AWESOME!!!

SHOTS!

Was the last line.

I hate to disagree with you, Frank, but that episode was perfection. Much like gum. I laughed, I cried, it was better than Cats.

It may help that I went to a funeral this week for a very difficult person and the somewhat eerie timing heightened the experience. But whatever, high-five to Dan Harmon and company from me.
