Aw, Glee! So good, this episode. Puck's t-shirt may have been my favorite part, though.

So good, this episode.
As you know Bob, I don't normally watch it, but I am sacked on the couch with a painful back and muscle relaxants, and it came on after The Simpsons, so I got sucked in. I have to say, I would *totally* watch it every week if it were The Kurt Show (And Some Finn).
The glee club teacher dude still creeps me out, with the Eat Some Dirty Fruit scene. Though it's my understanding that the show is kind of fail-y on a lot of issues, including mental illness. (I also have a fairly gigantic problem with what the therapist said about mental illness -- I think that there was a lot of truth in there, but the way it was worded made me sad. The therapist said, IIRC, "Your disease isn't who you are." My depression [and very probable non-NT-ness] isn't the totality of who I am, but it's *part* of who I am. It informs who I am, like it or not. It's never going away. It's not curable, and I'm damn sure OCD is not, either.
I think that scene's heart was in the right place, but I just wish it had been worded differently.)
Also? Kurt? SO AWESOME. Incredible voice, too. Which I realize most people with a TV already knew.
Puck's t-shirt
I'm mentally reviewing, and Butt Chin, OCD, No Weave, Brown Eyes, I'm With Stoopid, Can't Sing, Nose, Likes Boys and Lebanese are the ones I can remember. What am I forgetting? What did Puck's say? And Finn's?
edited to add:Trouty Mouth! How could I forget Trouty Mouth!
One of the guys (I don't know their names) said I'm with Stupid (or Stoopid), with an arrow pointing down to his pants.
The guy in the wheelchair (Artie?) had a shirt that said Four Eyes. The other girl who ran for prom queen had one that said Bad Attitude.
Puck was the "i'm with stoopid" and an arrow pointing to his crotch. Finn had "can't dance", a nice counterpoint to Mike's "can't sing"
Though it's my understanding that the show is kind of fail-y on a lot of issues, including mental illness.
It's 100% fail-y on just about every issue. For the record.
Meanwhile, I'm painting hearts and stars around Raising Hope with Burt & Virginia remaining strong through Jimmy's bad trip. And Jimmy punching out Dogheaded Man (which is just as awesome in context as Xander taking a shot at the Evil Clown) and accidentally giving his boss just what he wanted.
Ahahaha! I just didn't want Steph to feel like she needed to pussyfoot around the enormous levels of fail on a show I still enjoy VERY MUCH. As long as I don't think too hard, and just stick to humming "Unpretty" as I go about my day.
It's 100% fail-y on just about every issue. For the record.
But then, occasionally, it does an issue so perfectly that it hurts. Like Burt's talk with Kurt about sex.
