Wash: So, two days in a hospital? That's awful. Don't you just hate doctors? Simon: Hey. Wash: I mean, present company excluded. Jayne: Let's not be excluding people. That'd be rude.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ack! All y'all better get some rest. A pox on all your insomnia (but not on you)! The only reason I'm up this early is that the cats were PURRRRRRRRRing at me. This is not the same purrrrrrrrring they do when I'm getting into bed in the first place. This is the PURRRRRR of "Wake up and feed us, lazy human! You've been in bed for four hours, that should be more than enough for anyone. Hurry it up!"

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We're going to do a wedding registry today because my family has been bugging me about it. I want to register for a couple of good knives, but I don't really know what is good. Any recommendations? Preferably at Macy's or Linens n Things?

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I like Henckels. Steph is the person to ask though, I think.

Trust my rage

Different Steph, but I really like Henckels, also.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

(You draw a wee star, and then note something GOOD about the work. And again. [and perhaps again and again, depending.] Then a wee magic wand, and note something that would help their next piece of work be better.)

I wish my principal last year had used that! Er, possibly without the star and wand, though who knows?

In other news, I had a very vivid dream about Buffy and... maybe Jack Harkness? It's really sticking with me.

I had weird dreams. Actually, Emily, Eleanor and Fergus were in one of them. So bizarre.

Just talked to one of the classes about the new scheduling plan. I'm hoping the blank looks were because it was 8:30 a.m.

We're all getting played with, babe. -Weird Barbie

Funny we're talking dreams, because I had a crazy night of them. Really intense, freaky ones that kept waking me up all night. This is what happens when you spend a week studying Greek mythology and the Bible in preparation for teaching pieces of them. I have been reading and researching like a fiend, and it all melded together in my dreams. Wow is the Bible a lot to digest when you go past the basics and start asking questions about authorship, geography, related mythology, and contradictions. Ack. I thought I was familiar with it; now not so much. Part of the dream included going to a lecture Drew was giving about it. Makes sense given how much I've been picking his very well educated brain. That boy knows his Bible, I'll tell you what. All those years of Christian education and a really great comparative religion focus in college paid off for me, at least!

Anyway, it all adds up to another night of crappy sleep. Gronk.

I like Henckels too, but the America's Test Kitchen people have rated Forschner/Victorinox as the top chef's and paring knives. [link]

I need to be writing a "I'm sorry you're dying" card. I'd rather be doing anything else.

Poor Kristin!

We actually talk the Bible at school a lot, being English majors and all. It's really quite fascinating to see what different people know. My knowledge is actually pretty blocked. It's in there, but I can't get it out and make sense of it. Wonder why that is? ;)

I need to be writing a "I'm sorry you're dying" card. I'd rather be doing anything else.

Oh, yuck.

I need to send a sympathy card to my Aunt's family. I may write my own. The ones that are out there are just so...well, trite. Or something. Me hateses them. I did finally choose one yesterday, but I still don't like it.
