First of all, 'Posse?' Passé

Spike's Bitches 37: You take the killing for granted.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I feel bad. I'm drained and discouraged. We are having a situation with our cars. The car I've been driving to work doesn't really like going faster than 15 mph, but will do 25 under protest. And then it started having starter trouble. We've been trying to find something else, but having no luck. On Tuesday, I had so much trouble with the starter that ... well, I calmed down a lot by the time I got into work, and even then my supervisor looked at me and said, "You're angry." We spent most of today running around trying to find cars that fit our budget - but they just are not out there. We had a lead on one at a lot in a neighboring town, only it had been sold Last. Freakin'. Night. There was one truck with a for-sale sign in the back window on the other side of town, but the phone number on the sign is wrong, and the snotty turd of a woman who was there - didn't answer the door when we knocked, just came out, got in her SUV and told us she did not have time for us, could not be bothered to even take the paper we had been writing a note on (to leave on the truck). She was so rude, the people across the street working in their garden noticed.

So now Daniel is out running around trying to find an auto parts store open this time of night, to buy a solenoid from, to fix the damn starter.

I'm in here clinging to Harvey, trying not to leak too much stress and anxiety onto Daniel.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Andi, I'm sorry about the vehicle stress and anxiety.

Suzi, that's awesome news!

{{{Aimee & Joe}}} Fuckfuckfuckfuck. I hope he finds something else soon.

Recruiter says an offer is coming on Friday. DH is already mentally checking out of his current job. *sigh* Need to keep it together for a while longer.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Oh, bloody hell Aims.

Thing 1 - doodling doesn't show inattention. It actually helps some people to focus - depends on your learning style.

Thing 2 - failure to eat icecream? ....actually, I haven't got any words for that one.

I agree that it sounds like she's a dickhead, and I'm glad he's not having to work for a dickhead - but the reality is that one would rather have the income from working for said dickhead to tide one over while seeking a better boss. I'm gutted for you both. Hang in there.

It's actually, also, an effective writing tool, I learned this week.

So sorry Joe and Aimee! So very frustrating!

WS and Daniel, I hope things get figured out soon.

YAY Suzi and mom!

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

True dat. My doodling now takes the form of practising Chinese vocab. It works well; each 'doodle' is just a small self-contained lump of time, so it's not absorbing enough totake my attention away from the meeting, and it also stops my mind wandering onto a real time-waster.

Always Anti-fascist!

I love ice cream. Beyond all reason. But if I thought it was a secret handshake, I wouldn't eat any. Cause I hate that pep-rally bullshit, and the more she needed me to do it, the less I would, too. I enjoy withholding stuff from needy people. It's a Thing. cool thing of the day: First I have one. For the first time in like, six weeks, not counting my birthday. Second, someone who read my review wants me to beta her porn ms. Which isn't exactly the rep I wanted out of journalism school, but hey, I have one. And I couldn't have done it without y'all.ETA: Poor Andrea Macris...wonder how she'd feel about being a tagline star. Or that I think of her in a Middle Eastern restaurant.
