[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I used to work in a library in IL and we'd get a mousie invasion in the fall when it started to cool down .
Quite a while, IIRC, Laga. Maybe a month? More?
My library in CT had squirrels in the attic. they regularly ate the wires
Squirrels in the attic! We had them at my parents' house in Illinois, too. We called the humane society for help in getting rid of them and they suggested putting a pan with rags soaking in vinegar up there to drive them away. When that didn't work we called the Willowbrook Wildlife Haven and they suggested that if we could find a recording of the Great Horned Owl and play that for them they might be scared away as the great horned owl is their number one predator. I checked out a tape of bird calls from the library and when I opened the box a little note fell out that had the Wildlife Haven's number as well as the words, "rags soaked in vinegar". The squirrels eventually left of their own accord and we put wire mesh over all the attic access points.
ETA: thanks ita!
"The Screen's Foremost Delineator of the Draculean!"
Sorry. TCM is playing the trailer for The Fall of the House of Usher (Vincent Price version) and I had to share that tagline with Jilli.

Delineator of the Draculean
Hee! And I thought the best turn of phrase I would hear today was, "one promise short of a scam" on This American Life.
