[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

Y'know, when I first started at my last company, the new individual-pod coffee maker was Big News.

The big plus about this job (where I used to temp frequently back in my temping days) is that they have a subsidized cafeteria.

If my work had free coffee, it would save me a negligible amount. If it had free fancy coffee, it would save about $20 per week (if I had fancy coffee everyday, which I don't, because I'm cheap, but would like to). If I were gone two weeks for vacation (or whatever), that would be $1000, which is not bad. And a subsidized cafeteria would not only save money, but it would make my mornings at home much more pleasant.

am I a bad person? ...she's going to cancel the visit. I did a small happy dance. I'm such a bad nephew!!!

You're not a bad person, omnis, but clearly your aunt is not nearly as wonderful as mine, or at least as those of mine who would come visit. Mine would stay with me, and expect me to come up with entertainment, but would be so laid back and helpful and fun and fantastic that it would be well worth it. So, don't feel bad about yourself. It's all your aunt's fault!

Hec, are you temping in the mint?

Oh, a subsidized cafeteria is totally something to brag about!! "coffee in the breakroom" is probably not, though. :)

SFistas--"Foster City", where it be at relative to Teh Cool Stuff? Have a phone interview with a company there tomorrow.

Coffee would not make a difference. It is a good thing to have around.

there was more I was going to say - but it is an 'Oooooo sinny " day

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I totally could rock steampunk. I think I should start paying more attention to my clothes. Not that I'll look any more socially acceptable, but I might have fun. I need to learn how to sew, though. And get a sewing machine. And save some money for fabric.

You know what, thrift shop fashion is working out okay for me, come to think of it.

Owen's ready for his own tiara.

He's such a handsome critter. Hard to believe he's such a poop spreader.

Juliana! I am indeed downtownish for the next couple weeks. We should convene and I should express my disapproval at the size of your motorcycle.

lib! Good but not entirely accurate guess. Here is your hint: it is the capital letter "L" on your dollar bill (if your dollar bill is of the "L" variety).

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

SFistas--"Foster City", where it be at relative to Teh Cool Stuff? Have a phone interview with a company there tomorrow.

Uhmmm... Teh Cool Stuff is definitely not right there, but it's drive-to-able. [link] commute from SF might be a pain -- neither BART nor Caltrain goes all the way there, and 101 South can be kind of toothgrindy -- but not impossible. And it looks doable from the East Bay as well (I don't really know that bridge well enough to say what it's like to commute across it, though).

Ah! Got it. Yeah, I would expect extraordinarily good security there.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

I really need to start dressing more steampunk.

Anything more than just jeans and a t-shirt, which it seems is all my wardrobe is these days.

Yeah, I need to dress more steampunk.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

I wonder what the higher ups here at the theatre would say to me wearing Steam Punk. Firstly, I'm too lazy to do the hair as was shown. So just a casual part on the side probably wouldn't look as cool in the Steam punk. Eh. I'm not known for my sense of fashion anyhow.

Laga - Being a Bad Nephew does not make you a Bad Person. I've been a Bad Aunt since 1987.

Ya, but that's Bad in a totally cool way, I'm sure ;-)

Mostly lurking...

Border 2 is on! Only four more to go! [link] I'm liking it better and better each step of the way, which is kind of fun. May finish the top tomorrow. I hope, anyways...
