It makes sense that he would plan not to go up again, given the guilty plea would *definitely* have come out during an election.

Yeah. I mean, the guy is a sleaze and I don't know that I have a lot of compassion for him personally, but he shouldn't have been arrested, and in fact, his rationale for the plea rings true.
