Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Must be a new thing for them.

Yeah. They sound so proud that they've mastered this new skill....

A. No. TSA's common-sense approach harmonizes with worldwide standards for lighters.

Bwahahaha. Yeah. Common sense. They really claiming that?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Also, not for nothing, but I have no idea what "worldwide standards for lighters" would be.

Compassionately intolerant

q-tips and peroxide are the earbombdiggity. I'm not sure I could survive a shower without them.

Also, a student in one of my recent classes suggested keeping a q-tip next to the phone...especially if you do customer service or have to deal with difficult people. The q-tip reminds here to Quit Taking It Personally.

Love that.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Thank you! Talking with my boss this afternoon was the first I'd heard of the rumors, because apparently the rumors were saying the news would be coming down today. That's been delayed for the time being due to some further meetings being held, but it definitely sounds like something's going to be announced pretty soon.

The first time I was laid off was the Tuesday after Labor Day, so having this happen now is not a good sign for me. I hate reshufflings due to getting the next year's budget done.

This is a relatively slow period of the year for me, so I'm feeling particularly vulnerable right now. If they just watch me the first six months of the year when I'm swamped...
