Meanwhile, we had one of the coldest August days ever this week.
I remember it was super cold the week of my b'day (aka next week) in 1986. Right before I left for college. I was wearing my grandfather's old jean faded and ripped up jean jacket all that week.
We sorta had a mild case of the cools this week, didn't we?
And of course tomorrow, they are already warning of a heat emergency and 100+ temps. It's barely 80 today and I haven't seen the sun in a week.
It isn't unusual to get a day or two of overcast, almost-fall-like weather in the middle of August. On the other hand, we've been experiencing it for most of the week.
I'm having this vaguely mexican thing I make with black beans, corn, tomatoes and rice. This batch isn't so great because my spices were packed. It really does need the cumin and coriander. But, it doesn't suck.
Oy. Why does faxing have to be So Damn Hard from my iBook? Especially the part where the modem wouldn't hang up and I had to warm boot the laptop?
