Clara's TWO???!!?!?
She can't be two! She was just born!
Where did the baby go?!
I don't KNOW! How'd our kids get so big? Next think you know, Jess will be posting pictures of Little D's prom!
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Man, those kids have gotten big! And adorable-er.
I think maybe the stroller/carseat combo may be a UAB thing. Or an Alabama thing, given the number of billboards for parenting hotlines and the like. It does give me a bit of pause. Though the state kid insurance program is ridiculous. It requires the child be uninsured for 3 months. Which is just wrong.
All in all, just weird.
Took the kids to the McWane center (a hands-on kids' activity museum- exploratorium like) which was a lot of fun. Visited my brother's lab, scared his boss with the childrens, went out to lunch with his labmate and met some of his former labmates. It was fun. If unbelievably hot. Did I mention walking 10+ blocks in 100 F? And my brother's car has no a/c? Came back and hid from the heat making aquariums and fish, excuse me, eels and pirhanas, out of legos.
I've got probably 30 minutes before the brood starts stirring, so I need to go back upstairs and prep a bottle.
Aww, cute babies.
Dear Headache,
Seriously, where the hell did you just come from?
Dear Asshole Stomping On Packing Bubbles,
You're not helping. I WILL cut you.
Spider pig, spider pig....
Happy Birthday Clara!
Happy Birthday Clara!
Callaluna, since you always do fiction, do you want to continue in that vein? Three Junes isn't really light but it's very beautiful and easy going down.
In nonfiction, I find Jen Lancaster's books hysterical.
Hey Gud - what have you been up to?
ION, this is hard to believe, but it's ZDNet, so...
Man endures thumb surgery to better enable iPhone use
The North Denver News reports that Thomas Martel, 28, of Bonnie Brae, Colorado recently underwent “whittling” thumb surgery to better enable him to use the iPhone.
Thomas Martel, 28, of Bonnie Brae is a big guy. So he has a hard time using the features on ever-shrinking user interfaces on devices like his new iPhone. At least, he did, until he had his thumbs surgically altered in a revolutionary new surgical technique known as “whittling.”
“From my old Treo, to my Blackberry, to this new iPhone, I had a hard time hitting the right buttons, and I always lost those little styluses,” Martel tells reporter James Bently. “Sure, the procedure was expensive, but when I think of all the time I save by being able to use modern handhelds so much faster, I really think the surgery will pay for itself in ten to fifteen years. And what it’s saving me in frustration - that’s priceless.”
I brought CJ to work with me, armed with a bunch of movies. The plan was to have him sit at L's desk and wear headphones.
Well, our admin assistant brought in her daughter who is 7ish. Now they are both in an office (with a door, instead of a cube) watching The Incredibles.
Kids day at work!!! How many people can we annoy!!!

Apple should give that guy a free black turtleneck.
I've been busy. Busy at work, busy at home as I've fallen into non-stop days from waking to sleeping. This morning I did the treadmill, lifted weights, washed two loads of laundry, went to the grocery store, and made the kids breakfast all before my breakfast. Sure it's not six impossible things, but not too bad.
