Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't watch that clip, but have seen other FotC stuff, and here's what's weird: Someone I had just met suggested I would like them, and she was totally right! I mean, just weird that she knew me in a semi-work context for about three hours, and had me totally pegged.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I think it's funny that they use "four static PowerPoint slides" and "express your creativity" in the same notion.

Wow, Jessica, he looks big already! And very cute and smiley!

What happened in NYC today? Some sort of large storm I take it?

And our culture gets more bilingual every day, so it can only help her to know some spanish.

Getting back to this topic, for a moment, granted we live in a Spanish speaking place, but Ellie mixes Spanish and English all the time - aguamelon (my current favorite), mas apples, aqui baby, and so on. Thankfully, everyone here understands here but it always throws people when we are back in the US.

Heh.

BlogWarBot: I'm BlogWarBot. Are you one of those radical feminists?
Guest: No, I'm a tree-hugger.
BlogWarBot: Do you recognize the privilege involved in your calling yourself a tree-hugger?
Guest: Yes.
BlogWarBot: You seem awfully positive. Did you read Rand as a child?
Guest: No.
BlogWarBot: That's the problem with people like you. You're never constructive about anything.
Guest: I know.
BlogWarBot: Typical. An expression of privileged ignorance.
Guest: You are so right.
BlogWarBot: Do you sometimes wish you were so right?
Guest: No. I don't know anything.
BlogWarBot: I'm sure you've oppressed a woman into know anythinging for you.
