That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Yes pickling gets rid of that!

Yes, it does! Also, fried okra doesn't have that, either, so you might like it fried.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

There's a coffee shop near me that has take-out Ethiopian food at lunchtime. Their menu has three options: beef, chicken, and vegetable. I order the "vegetable," and for $6, get whatever four or five vegetables they decided to make that day, in big enough portions to last for at least two meals.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I love that it's just vegetable.

Tonight, we ordered Thai food in. I usually don't do Thai food. But I had an excellent beef salad and a spicy noodle dish. K wanted to know what the dish was and I said, "spicy noodles" and she persisted in asking. I realized she wanted to know the thai name. I told her the menu just said "Spicy Noodles."

It's 2:00 AM; I need to be entertained.

I haven't gotten to sleep at all tonight. But the past few days, I've been getting somewhere around 12 hours of sleep, so I guess it evens out. I don't need to do anything today that requires a huge amount of thought, anyway, so with a bit of coffee I should be OK.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

He's even from this area, but alas, George Clooney is NOT a friend of Teppy.

My grandparents know his parents a little. And yet somehow we have never been introduced. The life, she is so unfair...

Kat, Happy Tushies has a TON of sushi fabrics for cloth diapers & cloth diapering accessories. (I covet the Wonderbag, and someday soon will get off my lazy ass and order one.)

Now is as good a time to wish timelies as any other.

Posting from the ER on as bad a migraine day as I can properly remember.

Pouts all round.

Will someone please kill my pain?

This migraine is not just painful. It's also inconvenient. Which sounds trite or weird, but it's true. And not much better than when I came in 6 or so hours ago. This is enough pain for me to come in for, still. I mean, my ride went home to sleep.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Raisin oatmeal? Pretty please?

Mr Best Nurse got into a scrap with a patient and is being examined right now, so no meds for me for a little bit.
