You need a new haircut!
This reminds me that I probably should get my hair chopped again before next weekend. It's getting long enough that I'm losing my curl, man.

They have a spot for curriculum vita[sic] AND resume. Am I supposed to upload both? or the same document twice? I mean, is there a meaningful difference?
Pretty late on this, but Meara is right. A resume is a brief description of your qualifications and goals. A Vita is an archival record of your academic life (hence the name). Mine lists every course I've taught, every paper I've published, and every conference presentation I've made. It's 24 pages long. It would make a terrible resume.
Everyone! Come love me!

Rick, am I misremembering or are you up Minnesota way?
I'm excited because I just figured out that I can get a haircut sometime soonish. I was thinking I wanted one, but then thinking that was stupid, because it hasn't been that long, but it's been two months already! Which, I often go longer than that, but in the summer I need it thinned out SO BAD.
I SO desperately DO NOT want to do work!

I grew up in Minnesota but don't live there now. All of my peole are ok. Still, the familiarity of the bridge (it's right on the U of Minnesota campus) is making the tragedy more powerful for me.
Many sympathies, Erin and family.

Am I overreacting, or is this woman kind of a twit? The article has pictures.
Jennifer Cohen thought she had a good understanding of her company's policy allowing business casual attire. So the 24-year-old was stunned when an older colleague pulled her aside to tell her she was dressing inappropriately by donning Bermuda shorts, sleeveless tops and capris.
"Each generation seems to have a different idea of what is acceptable in the workplace, and in this situation I was highly offended," says Cohen, who works at a marketing firm in Philadelphia. "I was actually not allowed to attend a meeting because my attire was deemed 'inappropriate.' People my age are taught to express themselves, and saying something negative about someone's fashion is saying something negative about them."
