I deal with people in the UK all the time at work. I have to be careful to call "#" a "hash mark".
I remember that people used to refer to it as the “gate” key and I was very confused.
I hear "hash mark" and immediately think "marching band".
My weirdo brain jumps to that song “Hash Pipe” and how I couldn’t really understand what he was saying, and MTV had the title on the video as “****pipe”, so I looked at it and said “Ass Pipe, what the hell is that?” Then I realized that it was 4 letters, not 3, but we still called it the asspipe, and that makes me laugh.
And wasn't it a come as you AREN'T party?
I once wore a floral shirt to a “come as you aren’t party” I was a wallflower.

That's where my brain went and then I thought I remembered the marching band from the link I posted playing that as opposed to the Radiohead they were actually playing.

Shit, Bob, just fuck the Pulitzer.
Spider-Cat. Does whatever a spider can!
Video. Now I'm curious what the surface of that wall is like....
That's a great video. Must be stucco?
More from Gawker on Bob Butler, FYI: [link]
That's comming up on my NPR in just a few.
ETA: I was just coming in here to post it.

That's my guess. Note that the kitty climbs on a corner, allowing it to exert some pressure on the wall surfaces.
I can't see the clip, but my family has a cat who climbed walls for the longest time. Pretty smooth plaster surface over sheetrock, too. She just has really needle sharp claws, is lightweight and very, very strong.
My cat likes to climb up the screen door leading out to the balcony, and when she gets near the top she just hangs there for a few minutes, then remembers how to get back down.
