Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

That's a great video. Must be stucco?

That's my guess. Note that the kitty climbs on a corner, allowing it to exert some pressure on the wall surfaces.

I can't see the clip, but my family has a cat who climbed walls for the longest time. Pretty smooth plaster surface over sheetrock, too. She just has really needle sharp claws, is lightweight and very, very strong.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My cat likes to climb up the screen door leading out to the balcony, and when she gets near the top she just hangs there for a few minutes, then remembers how to get back down.

My favorite Butler comment is

"Is this going to be on the final?"

Punishingly Intricate

"Is this going to be on the final?"

BWAH!

I wish I was still in touch with my favorite professor from writer school so I could talk to him about this. I'd love to hear his unfiltered take on it.

The NPR story was as expected. I was not surprised to hear that Dewberry did not approve of the text of the email in advance.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I do still think that Dana looks like a hobbit.

Whereas I have completely forgotten I used that picture on WX until someone mentions it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

She looks like a lightpost to me.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah, that's also true.

I am a person. A PERSON!

Of course, if you know me on LJ, I suppose I'm a Japanese god.
