Ha! I agree. If the angels had corrected the boys then I would have thought it just par for the exposition and those that knew better could have had a laugh.

Uriel is the archangel that holds the flaming sword right? That has to to reiterate that Castiel has unfathomable power because although I have no doubt that Uriel could and would follow through on any of his threats, he shut the hell up the minute Castiel even looked at him. When I rewatched, Castiel is definitely the Dom.

I'd never heard of Sam Hain before last night, and had to wikipedia it today after y'all were driven batshit by it's misusage. Then again, I'm not much of a Halloweener. Is that how everyone knows it?

Huh. I came away with the different impression that Uriel was like the brash, mightier older sibling who quieted down when his little brother brought up the prospect of telling Dad on him.

I guess I can see Samhain being a demon now... we've seen other gods that degenerated with time and lack of worship, and I suppose it stands to reason that one whose dominion is the Underworld could go the same route as damned human souls. Even though he didn't get to inflict much carnage, he had the white eyes and overexposed flash of doom like Lilith that seem to be the signs of a major player, and may indicate non-human origin. The name thing still bugged mightily, though.
