Interview with Todd Stashwick - who was the shapeshifter in "Monster Movie."
Who was he on Buffy?
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
to be fair to the writers/actors if they had pronounced it correctly a lot of people wouldn't have realized who they were talking about. i doubt the general public knows it's said any differently.
I thought this, too. But I think Sam is research geek enough that if he had showed Dean a page in a book, and Dean had mispronounced it, Sam could have easily corrected him. Problem solved. It just ... irked a little bit. Because it does seem like something Sam would know, you know? He can read, like, sanskrit and shit.
(But would Sam necessarily have heard it said? I'm not sure.)
Okay - imdb says that Todd Stashwick was the Mfashnik Demon on Buffy and the Vocah Demon on Angel.
Who was he on Buffy?
According to IMDB, he played a M'Fashnik Demon on the Flooded episode. If I'm remembering correctly, that's the one where Buffy goes to the bank to try to get a loan (after she's been resurrected and her friends helpfully tell her they've been living in her house while it's losing money, but they haven't been doing anything except waiting for her to come back to fix things). So he's the demon summoned by the Trio.
Oh, and the talkative kid in the crypt who gets captured by the living dead plays Kyle's younger brother on Kyle XY.
I wouldn't expect Dean to know how to pronounce Samhain. I would expect Sam to know though, because somehow I know and I'm not an academically inclined hunter. And yes, the angels would have known (it would have been funny if they'd corrected the boys). It's not a huge deal, it's just a little irk.
Set visitor and Guest star during Yellow Fever shoot. Word is that the set visitor was S.E. Hinton who is a fan of the show.
The set decorator - when is his book on SPN motel set design coming out?
Of *course* Uriel is a dick. He's an archangel. The one, according to lore, who stood at the gates of Eden with the flaming sword. who watches over thunder and terror. Uriel is Not Nice. But if Lucifer does eventually manifest through Sam (which I think is what is going to happen), Uriel may regret being quite so antagonistic toward Sammy.
Uriel is the Angel of Repentance, who is graphically represented as being as pitiless as any demon. and holds the keys to the Pit during the End Times.
Uriel is also translated as "Fire of God", occasionally "Light of God". (Plz to remember that one of Lucifer's titles is Light Bringer or Bearer.) So really, it's not a surprise that the Fire of God wanted to scorch the earth.
I'm still twitching about SamHAIN. Dudes, Wikipedia has the correct pronunciation. Look it up.
Yeah. It would make sense that if God wanted to let Dean have nuking the whole town as an option for the test, sending an archangel actually capable of incinerating cities was a necessity.
