Because books.

Aw, that makes me really happy, too. He seems like such a good guy.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Nifty. Thanks.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

Oh man, I had found that soundtrack a while back on my own wanderings... so good!

Ailleann, I'm so glad you got power back. That is how skewed my world is. Someone says they are without power and I am thinking, "Damn, how will they watch Supernatural? Buffistas mobilize!!"

Art Crawl!!!

Mo Ryan talks Supernatural (spoilery at the link) - but non-spoilery comments:

I’m not going to damn this show with faint praise and call it an uncomplicated hour of demon-hunting set to a soundtrack of brawny tunes. I’ve said things like that in the past, and I feel as though that may have been something of an injustice (if a very mild one, in the grand scheme of things). Sure, it's not the most ambitious show ever, but it's satisfying and not necessarily uncomplicated (though again, the mythology is not too daunting).

Anyway, instead of hedging, I’m just going to straight-up praise “Supernatural” and say I felt the two hours spent watching the first couple of episodes of the season were time well spent. I’ve often vowed to do a better job of keeping up with the show, but this season I really mean it.

And this:

I’d think that no matter what, but having just sat through the disappointingly overdone second episode of “Fringe,” I’m especially high on genre-tinged shows that entertain me instead of assaulting me – loudly!! – with anvils (ye gods, that Fox show needs to dial down the soundtrack. I've posted more "Fringe" thoughts here). It has a much lower budget and isn’t often on the media’s radar, but “Supernatural” is, at this point, approximately 3.7 times better than “Fringe.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I am so psyched about tonight. It turns out there's a group of fellow SPN fans on my team at work, so we're all going to M's house to watch the premiere.
