[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.

Mo Ryan talks Supernatural (spoilery at the link) - but non-spoilery comments:

I’m not going to damn this show with faint praise and call it an uncomplicated hour of demon-hunting set to a soundtrack of brawny tunes. I’ve said things like that in the past, and I feel as though that may have been something of an injustice (if a very mild one, in the grand scheme of things). Sure, it's not the most ambitious show ever, but it's satisfying and not necessarily uncomplicated (though again, the mythology is not too daunting).

Anyway, instead of hedging, I’m just going to straight-up praise “Supernatural” and say I felt the two hours spent watching the first couple of episodes of the season were time well spent. I’ve often vowed to do a better job of keeping up with the show, but this season I really mean it.

And this:

I’d think that no matter what, but having just sat through the disappointingly overdone second episode of “Fringe,” I’m especially high on genre-tinged shows that entertain me instead of assaulting me – loudly!! – with anvils (ye gods, that Fox show needs to dial down the soundtrack. I've posted more "Fringe" thoughts here). It has a much lower budget and isn’t often on the media’s radar, but “Supernatural” is, at this point, approximately 3.7 times better than “Fringe.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I am so psyched about tonight. It turns out there's a group of fellow SPN fans on my team at work, so we're all going to M's house to watch the premiere.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Ooh, Anne, jealous!

I've got danger music running through the backbrane today, "nuh nuh nuh nuhnuhnuhnuh..., nuh nuh nuh nuhnuhnuhnuh..." It's not very melodic, but it's an undercurrent of low tension. eep.

Art Crawl!!!

I'm so excited!

I will have strong coffee in the evening. Let's hope that the game is just the normal length. (I've just jinxed it, haven't I?)

D'oh! I'd planned to go to the fair tonight. Wasn't this supposed to be premiering in early October?

I was weak. I watched the two short clips that were linked. But.... I didn't read any spoilers, so that counts towards my moral rectitude, or something, right?

This is one of the many reasons I love you. I would absolutely do the same.

How the heck am I supposed to get a speck of work done today?

Exactly! I wanted to look at them and say, "Seriously, people, you wanted results? Today?"

I am so psyched about tonight. It turns out there's a group of fellow SPN fans on my team at work, so we're all going to M's house to watch the premiere.

Count me in the jealous camp. You know, we should plan on a May 2011 Supernatural Finale Party Watching Get-Together. I'm not married to the title. Then again, maybe that would be too much of a downer. Yeah, I wont be in a good mood. Maybe a Final Premiere Watching Party September 2010? That would give us a whole year to plan. ::coughandsavecough::

so that counts towards my moral rectitude, or something, right?

In my book? Absolutely!
