I think Bobby asking Sam about his mind powers after it was all over means we were supposed to take that as more than just a coincidence.
Supernatural 1: Saving People, Hunting Things - the Family Business
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though -- if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
This ep doesn't seem to be in itunes yet though.
Have you tried Graboid.com? It is a site for streaming and downloading TV and films. I have been using it to watch episodes of ST Voyager in order. You can dl/stream a certain amount per 30 days for free and there are monthly subscriptions. They have stuff in HD. Don't mean to sound like an ad but I have found stuff there that I can't find other places.
I also sort of blanked out on Sammy's precognition stuff. I do remember him mentioning a couple episodes ago (?) that he hadn't had any dreams, etc. since the yellow eyed demon was dusted. I didn't pick up on that last night but now it seems pretty clear. But, now that Dean is invested in saving himself maybe this arc will wrap up and we can get back to classic rock and urban legends next season. What are the chances you think?
Also, Amazon has it to unbox for $1.99 per ep. And you can rip it to disc, if that's your preference. Or if you have TiVo you can dl to your TiVo. iTunes is good for iPodding, though. Depends what you want to watch it on.
Can I just stand here for a minute and think about what kind of discipline and energy it must take to have a scene of such a high emotional pitch with...a piece of tape on a wall? Twice? JA continues to blow me away.
Though Padalecki is earning my respect for his increasing subtlety in the dramatic stuff, and his blossoming comic ability. The post-dream Bela scene was fantastic.
Beverly, you articulated it so much better than I could. That is exactly my impressions both regarding JA and JP.
My favorite moment of the episode? The facial expressions exchanged between both actors when JP delivers the line, "How can you care so little about yourself? What is wrong with you?" I know its been addressed before, but watching Sam grapple with that concept and Dean's honest expression was nice to watch.
JA is technically so precise that I expect it of him and he probably has to work harder in order to impress me because I always expect him to be good, but JP's range when he said, "Bela? (beat) Crap." was as good as he has ever been IMNSHO. That is tied for my favorite moment. Next would be the Dean/Self interaction. That rang so true to character.
::hugs SHOW::
This was one of those episodes that when I first watched, my reaction is 'eh--okay.' Not terrible, but not great. But after I've rewatched and noticed some of the subtleties--this is a really important episode in the journey.
I am so happy that things aligned just right in order for these two actors to play these two roles. /gush
i'm pretty sure i dreamt about Dean and Sam all night long last night. mostly i remember flirting my ass off with Dean. he, of course, ate it up. mmm...Dean.
::crawls into tiggy's head::
Sam must have felt left out. I guess I will have to fix that *joins Amy in tiggy's head and flirts with Sammy* Ahh, much better.
So I met Sam Winchester today.
This tall, floppy-haired, puppy-faced kid comes into the shop today to get flowers for his girlfriend, and I couldn't stop starting at him, because my brain had blown a fuse and was chanting "Sam! Sam! Sam!". He was all adorable and awkward and smishable. After he left, my boss, who is also a SPN fan, was wondering why he'd looked so familiar, and I shouted (unable to control myself) "SAM!" and she immediately knew which Sam I was talking about.
The previous day we had a customer in talking about Colts, and my boss said "We like Colts". He had no idea why we were snickering.
In other news, while I really enjoyed last Thursday's ep, am I the only one who found Sam's reaction to Bela watch-from-the-hall? I mean, it was kinda funny, but then I was thinking, as un-suave as Sam is, he's not thirteen either.
It was odd, but I chalk it up to him being fuzzy-headed from just waking up and much of his blood supply being currently occupied in places other than his brain.
While my initial reaction to Bela wasn't negative like many fans' were, I have no particular objection to going for the trifecta of fatal post-banging-Sam supernatural encounters.
