Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I was such a freaking good girl it's a wonder I ever got laid. I still haven't ever gotten drunk in my life. Not once. Tiddly on New Year's champagne, but I could have sobered up in an instant if it had been required.

At the Arts School surrounded by musicians, actors, dancers, and never did so much as a single toke, overseas army, ditto.

Yes, I have control issues. And I party wicked, nobody knows I'm sober.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

And occasionally being drunk enough to get up and slur out a spontaneous version of "Greased Lightning."

We preferred to do the Hand Jive. And you know Dean knows all the moves to that.

I played rugby. I know a lot of drinking games. Also songs.

Because books.

My brother didn't have the same problems and more than once Mom found evidence of drinking games he hadn't cleaned up.

My friend S. and her brother once got busted after a HUGE party because the house was cleaner when her parents got home from their weekend than it had been when they left.

And I party wicked, nobody knows I'm sober.

This is often a very good plan.

Thrive to spite them

I think my brother left cups around a few times.

Although once my brother was making trips home from Camp Lejuene Mom was more lax about the parties and drinking. Her belief is that if the US thinks 18 -20 yrs old are enough to fight, kill, and die for their country they are old enough to drink. Although she really could have gotten into trouble for that.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Yes, I have control issues.

Wait, you're Pete?

And I party wicked, nobody knows I'm sober.

Ah. Then you're not Pete. Pete is always the sober one, plotting mischief and havoc against the hapless tipsy people.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

And you know Dean knows all the moves to that.

Man, this mental image is the best thing I've heard ALL DAY.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Her belief is that if the US thinks 18 -20 yrs old are enough to fight, kill, and die for their country they are old enough to drink.

Unless they've changed things in the last few years, the clubs on military bases are allowed to serve beer to th 18-20 year olds. Not the hard stuff, though. Which, is just, you know, stupid. Drunk is drunk, doesn't matter what did it.

Sail, I don't know about that, this was at home when he came back to visit friends (and stayed with Mom, evidentally there were lots of times when he came home and stayed with friends).

Bev-- did you get the quick message I left on your cell?
