Zoe: First rule of battle, little one. Don't ever let 'em know where you are. Mal: Whoo-hoo! I'm right here! I'm right here! You want some of me? Yeah, you do! Come on! Come on! Aaah! Whoo-hoo! Zoe: Of course, there are other schools of thought...

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Her belief is that if the US thinks 18 -20 yrs old are enough to fight, kill, and die for their country they are old enough to drink.

Unless they've changed things in the last few years, the clubs on military bases are allowed to serve beer to th 18-20 year olds. Not the hard stuff, though. Which, is just, you know, stupid. Drunk is drunk, doesn't matter what did it.

Thrive to spite them

Sail, I don't know about that, this was at home when he came back to visit friends (and stayed with Mom, evidentally there were lots of times when he came home and stayed with friends).

Bev-- did you get the quick message I left on your cell?

I'm getting the pig!

It was kind of good to get it all out of the way. I got to college and was like, yeah, we can drink, whatever, while my roommates were puking and falling down and missing half their classes freshman year because they'd been set loose in New! York!City! and could finally have a beer.

::sets up camp in Amy's corner:: Between hanging out with my older sister and her friends and also getting big boobs at a young age, I was 21 from age 14 until my 22nd birthday. If I remember correctly, I celebrated my 21st birthday by taking a hot bubble bath and going to bed early.

Because books.

Our corner is very pretty.

Aside from the older sister in the above description, Nicole is me. Weird that my boobs didn't *stay* big, proportionately. They were substantial at twelve, though. Too much so for me.

Is now oversharing. And I'm not even drinking.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Bev-- did you get the quick message I left on your cell?

No, nothing's showing up. Oh, wait. YES! And, *saved*! Thank you, darling. You made my day.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I played rugby. I know a lot of drinking games. Also songs.

Would anyone be surprised if I said juliana is me?

I didn't think so.

My favorite was always Viking but our version involved singing. So in addition to drinking if you forgot to row or rowed wrong, you would drink if you couldn't think of a song fast enough or if you repeated a song someone had already sung.

Uh...topic... Ten Inch Hero is screening tonight, in which is our darling Jensen.

Because books.

Oh, man, I want to see that. I wonder if it will ever come out on DVD. Because I can't imagine finding it in a theater anywhere near here.
