I can't wait to see what other lovelies you have in store. You do good work, lady.

Art Crawl!!!

Beverly -- I complained to customer service at Amazon and got an IMMEDIATE response. I pre-ordered in May and people who ordered this weekend were getting their dvds when mine weren't even being prepped for shipping.

They immediately emailed me that they would upgrade me to second day shipping for free and that I would receive my dvds by the 13th.

So complaining to Amazon's customer service is worthwhile. We'll see how they do next time around.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You know, this is a strange problem with Amazon. Similarly, I ordered my Avatar DVDs months ago, and they are only being prepared for shipping today, whereas I ordered Dexter and FNL and The Office a few weeks before the release, and those were being prepared to ship a day or two before Tuesday.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I haven't had good luck with pre-ordering from Amazon. The last two items that I had pre-ordered were both delayed a month in shipping prep. The customer service was prompt in notifying me of the fact though and allowed me to choose to cancel or not.

P-C, how do you solve the DVD storage problem? I have BtVS, AtS, and Firefly because --I had to. Now it looks like I will be accumulating all the seasons of Supernatural because again --it is like air to breathe. I could handle all my single movie dvd's but accumulating box sets is overwhelming me.

the same thing just happened to me with the SPN dvds, sumi. i emailed Amazon about an hour ago, but haven't heard anything back yet. i'm tempted to tell them to cancel it and stop by Best Buy on my way home. that'll save me $20 if nothing else.

[ETA] d'oh! nevermind. that was season one, wasn't it? oh well. guess i'll just wait for Amazon to get their heads out of their asses.

See, I've never had that problem. Every time I've pre-ordered, I choose Super Saver Shipping, and the latest it ever ships is the day of the release. It's a total waste to pay for shipping, seriously.

Heh, yeah, my shelves are getting full. I had to move my stack of DVDs down to make room for them.

You're very much welcome, Beverly. I'm really glad that you got my butt in gear to try and figure out how to get shareable but decent picture quality. And thank you! I'll post a new entry in my journal when I get the rest of my vids cleaned up and streaming+downloadable.

Art Crawl!!!

When/if you get your season 2 dvds be sure to check the end of "Simon Said" and the beginning of "No Exit" because at least one reviewer reported problems with those episodes.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I have just finished all the Special Features on disc 6. EeeeE! Although, not really enough. Want more. I can't wait to play the commentary on any and all eps (although the Kripke/Gamble/Singer on AHBL1 was distracting rather than illuminating, for my money).

Do we know of any easter eggs on this set? I'll check out Simon Says/No Exit, and thanks for the tip. At least since these were bought locally an exchange shouldn't be a problem.

When I cancelled my Amazon order I simply told them I'd gotten a set locally on the release date and didn't need a duplicate set shipped later. They should be able to work out the time and shipment issue from that, I'd think. I'd chosen SuperSaver shipping and was prepared to wait a couple of days because of that choice. And by buying locally I paid sales tax, which would have paid for next day shipping. Still, I can't complain. I have the precious.

Art Crawl!!!

I haven't heard of any Easter Eggs. I did hear that the packaging sucks. (Somebody said that the plastic things that hold the disks in broke right away. That's kind of par for the course, isn't it? That happened with my Heroes dvds -- but so far only on one.)
