Sleuth shrift! Thanks, I couldn't find it for nothing.

Do new registrations have to be approved by a stompy or do they just go through?
Also, just a heads-up that we've been mentioned on Twitter which may or may not attract some attention.
On Arthur Chu? I was wondering if anyone was going to take that (inadvertent) bait.
...I kinda want to pull down the shades and pretend we aren’t home but I don’t think that’s actually an option
Yeah, Fay got pissed off and mentioned the were-monkey's manipulation and fake death and all...
I honestly can't imagine we would be all that interesting to anyone who dropped by because of that, just having a visceral MEEP about it
I don't think Fay mentioned B.org by name, FWIW. I also think Gus sold TV Tropes to someone years ago. Nobody there probably even cares/knows/thinks about us.
Do we also want to consider removing Jossverse reference in certain thread summaries and descriptions? For example, those references in threads like Fan Fiction, Literary, and Other Media don't seem particularly relevant at this point.
I would like that.
Do we want to put something on our "About" page? Our current one is pretty bare bones. [link] Was it just put up as a place holder?
Here's an archive of the "About This Site" page from the old site. [link]
If we want to flesh it out the new page at all, we could also add a disclaimer. My mind keeps going to the beginning of SMG's statement [link] :
While I m proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don't want to be forever associated with the name Joss Whedon....
I keep thinking of riffing straight off that, with something like:
While we are proud to have derived our name from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, like the lead actress herself, we don't want to be forever associated with the show's creator. Through the years, his former spouse and several cast members have recounted behavior that is antithetical to our values. We're not throwing out the babies, but we are through with the brackish bathwater.
It would be nice if we could do it without name-checking him - what with going to all the trouble of taking it out all over the place.
Would "with the show's creator" be enough?
I was just coming over, prompted by the Twitter thread, to ask if anyone has ever reached out to the new owners of That Site, as they still namecheck Fuckhead on their staff page, just so that they know.
I think a statement like Cindy has there is good. I can see value in a "Let Us Speak Of Him No More" approach and not including his name. I can't imagine anyone would find it confusing (maybe in another decade, but bridges, coming to, etc)
