"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

If Daredevil is part of the MCU thread I won't be able to participate for a while, which would make me sad for the end of the SHIELD season.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

No one's been talking about Daredevil for a while, so you'd likely be safe for the finale.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

All the Marvel streaming shows are going to be part of the MCU thread. But the SHIELD finale is this week, and the MCU thread hasn't even been created yet, so you're probably safe.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

It is a unique situation, Marvel having such a large CU, but having one program being in such a position.

A thought here.

Based on the recent lightbulbs discussion (not digging to find quotes, sorry). I think the notion of spoiler font is needed, the polite thing to do, but getting rather diffuclt to define. When the board was started, life was much simpler. With DD streaming only, and a new Streaming thread, well, defining a spoiler font guidelines is much much harder. The old "east coast air time" thing is out the window. Heck, even HBOgo/HBOnow changes things a bit.

So my thought, what if folks preface their post, like we do in the gaming thread. Using the gaming thread as an example, with our online game play, we preface with

BSG

so folks know, this is game play. If you are not playing, you can skip this post.

So for threads that cater to multiple shows, why not suggest a preface...

" DareDevil

Dude, that was so rad! Glad I still have my netflix!"

As a reader, you can see what the post is about, "crap, I haven't watched DD yet" and skip past it.

:: shrugs ::

Not sure there is a solution. But putting out an idea. Maybe the brainstorm will help a solution flush out.

when i die, please bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.

Super loving the preface idea!

We kind of loosely do that in Boxed Set already. It's not codified, though.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm pretty sure I brought up the idea of prefacing posts in the past, but it never went anywhere. I think it would make it so much easier to skip over posts for shows you don't watch or haven't watched yet.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

Someone should make a proposal!

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

I think you're probably joking, but I don't think you need a formal proposal for that. It's just asking people to be polite by identifying their posts.

Prefacing sounds fine to me, and it could be mentioned in the header.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Could it be added to the header of Boxed Set as well, without a proposal?
