"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I concur with Jessica. I think it's a good idea for people that want to opt in. We are a community and for a lot of us this is the place where you'd be missed first.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

We'd also need contact info for the Emergency Contact and some people might want to leave some brief guidance such as "has key" or "This is a co-worker. Don't say anything incriminating." I was also thinking it would be nice to have a mechanism to do a roll call, so we could see who's still around after the rapture (or something catastrophic).

Would it be possible to have a contact info form like the E-mail Admins form or an e-mail address that goes to all the list maintainers?

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I like it - obviously people who aren't comfortable sharing that info wouldn't have to, but it would be nice if we had reliable ways of getting in touch with people when they go dark unexpectedly.

I like that it is opt in and not widely available. Yes, we want to be able to check on people we're concerned about but I'd be wary if it were just halfway easily obtained information. Or even went to a biggish list of people. I have trust issues, I know.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

In my mind, an effort would need to be made in thread first. There are enough of us who know others of us, that we can usually make a connection without having to go to an emergency contact.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Since we're scattered across the globe, we should make sure that the emergency contact phone number is attached to a time zone, just for courtesy's sake!

I'm sorry, I brought this up and then got hit with a flood, bed bugs, and the sick (I'm afraid to consider what is next). The suggestions above are great. We should be able to add space for such information and get a post up in Press soon.

Our wings are not tired.

Bout time for another Bitches. As per tradition, a sampling of quotes -

No. I'm a rebel. You're an idiot.

That's right! Big bad's back, and lookin' for a little death

I came, I conquered, I felt really bad about it.

That's right! I'm back, and I'm a bloody animal!

I say, we go out there, and kick a little demon ass.

Let's fight that evil. Let's kill something. Oh, come on!

As usual, I'm here to help you, and I... are you naked under there?

Um, I like all of them.

I like these two best.

I like these 2 best, #1 slightly betterer ('cuz I hear it in his mocking delivery). In the same vein as #2, doesn't he have one about saving puppies and christmas? Or has it already been used?
