Everything looks good from here... Yes. Yes, this is a fertile land, and we will thrive. We will rule over all this land, and we will call it... 'This Land.' I think we should call it 'your grave!' Ah, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal! Ha ha HA! Mine is an evil laugh! Now die! Oh, no, God! Oh, dear God in heaven!

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Deena made this and posted it in Lightbulbs:

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think if we're going in the logo direction it should be the logo exactly.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I probably have a good res version of the graphic. I'm thinking like what's on this page [link] except, since we're fans of many things, it would say "Buffistas.org supports the writers", using the b.org logo. Waddaya think?

Sounds good to me.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Were we going to explain the fact that we're replacing the quote generator? You know, in pithier, more Buffista words?

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

OK, how's about this: [link]

I like it.

I'll be back here in a half hour or so, at which time, if there are no objections, I'll replace the RQG with the logo I just made. The logo will link to fans4writers.

Ooh, yeah. I forgot about that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That looks great!

I think it's enough that we know about the quote thing.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Okay, how about this - we make the sign graphic a link. The link goes to a flat page that says:

[Buffistafont]Hey, didn't you guys used to have quotes up here?[/Buffistafont]

We have temporarily replaced the random quote generator with a graphic representing our support of the ongoing WGA strike against the studios. When the strike is over, the quotes will return to work! Think of it as our own little virtual picket line.

For more details on what fans can do to support the writers during the strike, come over to the [linky]Minearverse[/linky] thread, or visit [linky]fans4writers.com[/linky].

Thoughts?

(And stompies, please let me know if putting something like that together would be more trouble than it's worth for you.)
