Okay, how about this - we make the sign graphic a link. The link goes to a flat page that says:

We have temporarily replaced the random quote generator with a graphic representing our support of the ongoing WGA strike against the studios. When the strike is over, the quotes will return to work! Think of it as our own little virtual picket line.

Ah - nevermind then. It can stand on its own.
It's up. I'm going to have dinner, so any complaints won't be handled for an hour or so.
My only complaint is that it's...really big, thus pushing the forum a little lower than normal (which happens with the occasional large quote as well, but most of the quotes up there are only a line or two). But I guess that's what happens. It looks nice otherwise.

Yeah, I tried making it smaller, but it becomes too hard too read.
It tickled me to fire up my browser after leaving work and find that instead of the quotes. I wanted to pat the screen or something.
